Goodness Gracious!

Lots of changes have been taking place at the Mill!  Goodness Gracious Cafe and Catering bought and moved into the Readyville Mill 2 months ago and couldn’t be happier!  The Fords also own The Corners on the River in Readyville which offers a venue for wedding, showers and groups.  Just a 15 minute drive from Murfreesboro; come and unwind in the country. The Mill is available for private events, weddings and groups.   The new hours are Thursdays from 10am-2pm for breakfast and lunch and Friday and Saturdays from 8am-2:30pm and 5pm-8pm for dinner.   Have you seen the gorgeous spring flowers?!?!?  For a small donation they welcome photographers to come and capture memories in our picturesque setting.  Hungry??  Have you tried the cinnamon swirl pancakes!?!? Mouth watering!  Need some organic fresh ground wheat, cornmeal or grits?  We grind onsite and have bags for sale.  Come see us this weekend!  You will be glad you did.

I grow hickory king corn for corn mill and have had difficulty finding a mill service since my miller passed. My wife cleans the kernel and have 20 pounds to grind. If I make an appointment would you provide this service? I just learned of your service though my church who is organizing the Methodist travel buddies to tour. Please advise if you can provide this service.

    Kindest regards,

Are you have a ramp for wheel chairs to get in and out of your place? I have people at an Assisted Living that would like to come to eat but a lot of them use walkers or wheel chairs.

We do have a ramp (its kind of steep) but it is wheel chair/walker accessible. We have a spot where you can pull up right next to the door to load and unload. Please call with any questions or to make a reservation. 615-563-6455

We are open Friday and Sundays from 10am-2pm and Saturdays from 8am-2pm. We do not offer live music and are open in the evenings for private parties only.

    Thank you!

  4. Marjie O'Connor says:

My daughter was recently diagnosed with an allergy to gluten. One result of her research about gluten is that it’s modern, genetically modified wheat that causes the problem; the plants used in the genetic engineering are the culprits.

I know nothing about growing wheat (well, I know you need seed, dirt, sunshine and rain). Is your wheat a variety that is sold to commercial farmers? If so, do you know of anyone who grows “antique”, non-GMO varieties? We’d like to find a source for bulk purchases.

By the way, I found out about you from “Tennessee Uncharted.” I hope to come visit and bring my grandkids to see where wheat comes from. It sounds like a great operation!

    Thank you!

We look forward to your visit! We get our grain from an organic farm so we are not familiar with the growing process! I would recommend contacting a local farmer. We do sell our 100% organic whole wheat flour in our store for $9.99 a 3 pound bag. Thank you!
